Gurnee, Illinois. One building.

Two production areas — the main production floor with its machine lines, and a 25,000 sq ft isolated production area — plus climate-controlled storage and a dock that enters mail directly into the USPS mail stream, a little over 30 miles from O’Hare.

Our facility

Contained, secured, climate-controlled.

Your products will be contained and secured in our controlled-access facility that is video monitored 24/7/365. Our modern 200,000 sq ft facility is also climate-controlled and includes 25,000 sq ft of isolated production area (IPA). Learn more about our equipment.

Contract packaging, lettershop and direct mail, and 3PL fulfillment all happen here: in the same building, against the same inventory record, under the same certificate, for the same account manager. Mail leaves under USPS Optional Procedure from the same dock. Most brands assemble that from three vendors.

Because nothing leaves the building between stages, there is no freight between a co-packer, a mail house and a warehouse, and no handoff where the lot trace breaks.

Flow

Dock to dock, in one direction.

Product enters at receiving, is packed or kitted, is held, and leaves by freight, mail or parcel. It never leaves the building between stages.

Cutaway: Gurnee plant · Scale NTS. Drawn from MGA’s floor plan; walls cut to the sill, roof removed.

Zone plan

What is in each zone.

Six zones under one roof, laid out from MGA’s own floor plan: one dock wall with receiving at one end and shipping at the other.

  • Receiving

The receiving end of the dock wall: inbound doors and the QC hold area, beside warehouse storage.

  • Production area

The main production floor and its machine lines: cartoning, overwrapping, shrink wrapping and inserting on Kodiak, Adco and PMI Kyoto cartoners, Fuji overwrappers, Shanklin shrink wrappers and automatic insertion machines.

  • Isolated production area

25,000 sq ft set apart for hand assembly: glass, porcelain, gift packs and anything too intricate for a machine.

  • Staging area

Materials staged at the far end of the plant, between warehouse storage and the isolated production area.

  • Storage

Racked and floor storage, climate-controlled and controlled-access.

  • Dock

The shipping end of the same dock wall, with ship staging beside it. Retail freight, USPS mail entered under Optional Procedure and consumer parcels leave from our own dock.
