Packaging fulfillment

Receive it, pack it, prepare it for the trip.

Companies grow when customers buy into a brand and return to purchase more products over time. The businesses who supply those items rely on strong partnerships with packaging fulfillment organizations who receive, package and prepare products for transport.

MGA Innovation is your partner for order fulfillment, and we’re here to keep packaging quality items that scale your business growth and meet demand — subscription boxes on a cycle date, single orders to a consumer’s door, and kits that ship as one SKU.

Fulfillment runs in the same building as our contract packaging and direct mail work, against the same inventory record. Your product arrives once.

Cost-effective order fulfillment

It’s a misconception that working with a fulfillment company requires special payments and unaffordable fees. Not with MGA. We provide order management at a value, and our competitively priced fulfillment services include oversight of the entire packaging fulfillment process to ensure quality.

Why companies outsource fulfillment

  • The contract packer’s ability to provide large-scale packaging and distribution services.
  • Co-packing facilities adhere to regulations and have ample space, technical equipment and staff.
  • A business’s need to focus on product creation, marketing and production while meeting the demands of consumers.
  • An organization’s desire to preserve long-term growth by mitigating costs.

We offer comprehensive turnkey services, with order fulfillment completed in a single phase.

What MGA provides

Everything a fulfillment program needs, under one roof.

Each of these has its own page. Together they are the doorstep half of the building.

  • Inventory management services

Our professional staff monitor and analyze your inventory, with support for products entering our fulfillment facilities and packages that are ready to be sent to their destinations.

  • Electronic data interchange (EDI)

Easily and safely connect your information with our real-time inventory system. Our platforms are EDI-proven to handle a consistent flow of orders, including tracking information, synchronization, information management, automation and more.

  • Global online ordering

Submit your order into our system 24/7, 365. We can complete custom packaging and can even meet emergency packaging needs. Wherever you are in the world, MGA is here to take on any fulfillment challenge.

  • Complete pick and pack operations

We’ve streamlined our processes to pick the correct products in the right quantities and place them in the necessary packaging, with precision, for single orders and kitting services alike.

  • Kitting

Save time and money by combining SKUs: separate items assembled into one ready-to-ship unit under a single SKU.

  • Subscription boxes

Keep your customers coming back for more: custom boxes, kitting, labeling and mailing for subscription programs, shipped on a consistent schedule.

  • Custom-built, versatile assembly

The equipment our staff use to complete the packaging fulfillment process is specially designed to meet custom orders. Our portable assembly lines move quickly while remaining extremely accurate.

  • Hand assembly

No machine is ever operated without the care and oversight of the MGA team. We complete hands-on assembly tasks, inspection, testing and final approval of your product packaging, and take extreme care with tipping projects and manual application.

Subscription cycles

Six steps from idea to doorstep.

The kitting process from conception to completion. Once the box is approved, steps four to six repeat on every cycle date. The box is designed, printed and packed in one building, so nothing waits on a second vendor. More on subscription box fulfillment.

  1. Step 1: You come to MGA with the idea

What is in the box, who it goes to, and how often.

  2. Step 2: MGA designs a custom box, which you review

Nothing is printed until you approve it.

  3. Step 3: Once approved, MGA prints and assembles your custom boxes

In the same building that will pack them.

  4. Step 4: We receive the products for the boxes in bulk

Direct shipment from you or your suppliers to MGA, received against your inventory record.

  5. Step 5: MGA places the items into each box and packages them securely

The finished box is one SKU, created for the box as a whole.

  6. Step 6: The subscription ships directly to the consumer

Out to the subscriber on your cycle date.

Pick, pack and parcel

The right product, in the right quantity, in the right box.

Orders arrive through EDI or online ordering and are picked against real-time inventory, packed — by machine or by hand — and handed to the carrier.

Inventory, order status and tracking connect to your systems; see Systems. How the picking itself is organized — piece, batch, zone or wave — is on pick and pack.
